Crunch. Crunch. Crunch.

You wander around this field of golden wheat. You don't know where you came from and you don't know why are you in this place. You looked up the sky and saw a flock of birds in a distance. You pointed at them, wondering if you could reach them. You turned behind you and saw a mountain so high that it reached the clouds. And a figure swooped down and flew in circles near the mountain. It has long wings and has a majestic figure. It captivated you. The bird was flying gracefully, without any flaw. Wow. You don't what it's called and you want to know it. You looked around the field in hope to find someone and tell you what it is. No one was there. You lowered your head in disappointment and held your dress tightly.

You suddenly heard soft voices. You jerked up your head and searched for the source. It was faint but you managed to hear some words. "... I told you before... it's not gonna work." the owner of the voice was whining. You then saw a man who has brownish-yellow hair with a funny looking strip of hair sticking up. He has bright blue eyes like the sky. He was wearing a whole different clothing than you. You were in a plain white dress and complimented by a(n) (f/c) ribbon tied into a bow under your collar. You saw him coming at your direction but he hadn't noticed you yet. You want to move but somehow you can't as if you are frozen. When he came closer and he took notice of your presence. He stood there just looking at you in curiosity. He scanned you head to toe.

"Oi, Alfred!" Someone yelled. Then came a man with shoulder-length blode hair and eyes with a darker shade of blue. He laid a hand on America and asked him what's wrong. He then traced where he was looking. At you. "Oui! A child!" he exclaimed.

You got startled a fell back on the ground and started to get a bit scared. You rubbed your little fists on your eyes and broke into a sob. Alfred shook his head and smacked Francis' head playfully. "You kid creeper. You scared the heck out of the kid." He went to you and bent down in front of you.

"Merci, Alfred, for that compliment." sarcasm flowed out from Francis' mouth.

"Hey, kid." he said to grab your attention. You chose to continue to cry and lower your head. You felt a light weight on your head. It was quite warm. You liked it. With your curiosity, you stopped crying and lifted your head. You saw the man giving a warm smile. You looked into his sky blue eyes. It really looked like the sky. You saw the reflection of the majestic bird on his eyes. You looked up and saw the giant bird and pointed at it. Both of the men turn their attention to what you are pointing.

"Eh, what's with the eagle?" the Frenchman asked.

"Ah..." Alfred breathed out in realization. He pointed at the bird to you. "That's what you call an 'eagle', kiddo."

"Eagle." You repeated and burned it to your memory.

"Oi! She speaks!" Francis stated.

Alfred chuckled and offered his hand to you. "I am Alfred... and you?"

You stood up with his help. You blinked a bit. You didn't even know your name. What should you say? You shook your head lightly in response.

"It seems you don't have a name..." he observed. He carried you and looked at Francis. Giving a silent question. Francis seemed to know what he's asking and replied a 'go ahead' silently.  He smiled. "I know the right name." He raised you up and smiled widely. "I'm going to call you _(y/n)__ Arlet Jones." he declared.

"_(y/n)_ Arlet Jones" You repeated.

He pulls you back in a hug. There was rumbling sounds in the background and the surroundings got darker. Thunders clapped and lightning strikes in the distance. You looked up again, worrying about the eagle. Much to your surprise, the eagle was flying towards the storm. You yanked his shirt and cried in panic "The eagle is in danger! It's flying towards the storm!"

He chuckled. "Don't worry, kiddo. Eagles are very strong and fearless birds. They can survive flying under the storm and it is what they like to do." he explained and it made you calmer.

"Alfred run!" someone yelled and it wasn't Francis this time. Several yells and screams were filling the air. Another type of rumbling sound was coming and it was accompanied by whooshing sounds. "The dam broke!" And with that Alfred and Francis were running but they have not realized that all of you were running towards the storm like where the eagle was. Alfred covered your head with his hand as it started to rain. Alfred didn't notice that there was a root  above ground and he tripped. He loosed his grip unto you and catapulted you. You landed hard on the ground on your side and it hurt so much because of the impact. You set your eyes on Alfred he was clutching his knee. Francis was beside him and tried on helping him up.

The big wave was already visible and was racing towards your direction. "Alfred!" You called his name with all your might but he was swallowed by the wave then you. You rolled a lot underwater and you bumped to several branches and small logs. You grabbed unto a log and you climbed on top of it. You were shivering. Scared, afraid, cold and alone.  Those emotions were in you. You tried to look for him and yelled his name several times. But he did not respond. You started to cry. It rained harder and the thunder claps grew louder. You felt so hopeless. No one was with you. You looked up and still saw the eagle flying around the stormy sky. "Please, help me!" you begged at the eagle. "I don't want to be alone and scared anymore! I don't wanna die!" You laid your head on the log. "There's no one here... I'm scared..." The eagle cawed and you jerked up. The eagle was swooping down towards your direction. You intensely gazed at the eagle. It has serious and determined eyes. It took a left and splashed the waters and flew back upwards. Your heart skipped a beat. It amazed you. You realized that you can do this. You hugged back the log tightly in faith that you will survive through the storm.

~=-After a few hours-=~

The log bumped on something and it stopped on moving.

"_(y/n)_!" you heard a familiar voice.

"Alfred..." you murmured, exhausted from the event. It was bright and sunny already. You thought you have slept through the storm and haven't notice the change.

You felt strong hands lifting you and wrapped you in embrace. It's Alfred! He is alive! Thank goodness! "Oh, _(y/n)_ I was worried." he started and you felt his breathing pattern was messy. "I thought I would loose you."

"M-Me too!" You cried, leaning your head on his firm chest. "I-I thought I can't survive and see you again!"

He kissed your forehead and cradled you in his arms. "I'm so happy to see you, my little eagle." He threw you up lightly as if he was boosting you to fly. You giggled at his actions. When he stopped, you smiled and tilted your head as you ask a question. "Why did you call me 'little eagle'?"

He chuckled. "Because Arlet means little eagle. And I called you an eagle cause you are amazed of eagles and I knew you are strong like eagles." he pinched your nose lightly.

"Then, Alfred is my daddy eagle?"

"I guess it is. And look!" he pointed at the eagle we saw before. "Here, It is where eagles fly."
It's my first doing a DaddyxChild. I'm not really good at this but I hope it is okay. Do leave some comments about it please? I wanna improve so I can write better fics for you all.

France: Isn't this sweet? You have a child now and you're taking care of her like Arthur did to you.
Alfred: At least, I have someone **sticks tongue out at Francis**
Arthur: **sighs** And I thought you would be mature.
